At the end of my three week painting module, acrylic on canvas, loose fruit, enjoyed exploring colour and shape, and being loose with the medium!

Acrylic on stretched canvas, I have always enjoyed the subject of still life. I adore loose painting and the richness of colour in fruit. I have been looking at the work of Francis Hodgkins. I'm now exploring still life as a threme over the next four weeks, in drawings, washes, pastels and finished paintings. Have started to set up my own still life arrangements...Avondale Market is a good place for hunting out interesting knick-knacks, etc.
